PSA: Duke Nukem Forever demo opens to First Access Club

Gearbox will unleash the Duke Nukem Forever demo across all three platforms in just a few minutes – so clear out your bandwidth.

Sadly, the demo is currently available only to those who enrolled in the First Access Club by pre-ordering the game.

For everyone else, George Broussard of 3D Realms fame is handing out codes on Twitter.

To grab your sneak preview, you’ll need to log into the First Access website, where you’ll be rewarded with a code for the demo.

Duke Nukem Forever releases on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on June 10 internationally, and June 14 in the US.

What about those of us who bought Borderlands? We’re supposed to get it early too, right?

@1 Borderlands GOTY Edition, yes. You should have gotten an insert in the box with the key or see it in the list of CD keys on Steam.

Steam DNF pre-order customers don’t get the demo for some lame reason, confirmed on Gearbox forums.

How much is “played lots of Borderlands”? My father has the game and all add ons on 100% and didn’t ged a code. I have the game on almost 100% and didn’t get a code.

@9 I’m not sure. Notch said on Twitter that he got a code for playing Borderlands.

‘Duke’s First Access Club is joined by using a code, obtained from either the pre-order of the game, the Borderlands Game of the Year Edition, or Borderlands on Steam (if bought before the club was announced), on the Duke Nukem Forever website.’

That might be why.

Fuck yeah!

You need Borderlands Game of the Year Edition, that is Borderlands and every DLC not including Claptrap’s Robot Revolution.

You also get 10% off all merchandise in the Duke store, a podcast, and a few wallpapers.
