Kojima’s Fox Engine shown running in video interview
GameTrailers has posted a good look at Kojima’s Fox Engine, the cross-platform tech Kojima Productions will use to power the company’s new, unannounced title.

Kojima shows a logo for the engine and says work on the code began just after the release of MGS4. He says it’s being made in response to the need to release global games across all formats.
The developer says he wants Fox to be “the best in the world”.
The scenario shown in the interview is a jungle, with a Snake-like character running around. Kojima says what’s seen is a “game,” but is just being built for placeholder purposes. It’s not a peak at the new title.
Konami confirmed the new game will run on Fox in its pre-E3 press conference last night. Get a full report on that here, and check out the video below for a look at the tech.

Nothing impressive to be honest compared to ID TECH 5, Cryengine 3, Unreal Engine 3.5, Red Engine and etc.

Man, how I hate these GameTrailers embeds. Here’s a Youtube version of the vid – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOYAi5BCv3c
@2 Nope. At least, I don’t think so. It’s looks like they’re still developing this engine, and it’ll probably have its first outing in Hideo’s next big title.

Seriously though, he’s going up again UE3, Frostbite 2.0, Cryengine 3, Id tech 5, and lots more amazing engines (whatever From Dust is running on looks incredible).

@1 This is a console specific engine so of course it won’t look good as those listed. Kojima doesn’t make PC games so fail in your point. And this is an in house engine they won’t be selling it or making open source like ID.

@7 Again Name a PC game by Kojima, hell even Konami doesn’t go to PC they give it to to a 3rd party and have them port it over. Thats why the PC version of the SIlent Hill series is shitty on the PC.

“Again Name a PC game by Kojima”
Snatcher, Policenauts all by Kojima team.
“hell even Konami doesn’t go to PC they give it to to a 3rd party and have them port it over.”
So what? They are fantastic. MGS2 port is still the best one and the only HD one to date, the skateboarding mini game is just missing, but everything else is better.
“Thats why the PC version of the SIlent Hill series is shitty on the PC.”
Troll harder.

I am not trolling I have all of them on the PC (SH) and the console version. The only way to “update” the game is find mods for the actual game for the High res textures other wise you are going with the same textures as the console.
“Snatcher, Policenauts all by Kojima team.”
Really thats all you have is 88 and 94 games. MGS 2 PC (only Kojima game) was done by Success not by Kojima.
