Warhammer 40K: Kill Team goes shoot-mental XBLA, PSN

THQ’s dropped first details, screens and a video of Warhammer 40K: Kill Team, an XBLA and PSN arcade shooter designed to pre-cursor the release of Space Marine in September.

The local co-op 40K shooter will be released only for PSN and XBLA in July for $10, and will unlock a Power Sword for use in Space Marine. Take a look at a gameplay movie and screens below.

Kill Team casts you in a Space Marine team sent to assault a giant Ork Kroozer en-route to an Imperial Forge World.

You’ll be able to choose from four classes, including ranged specialists the Sternguard Veteran and Techmarine, and more melee-focused classes like the Vanguard Veteran and Librarian.

It’s to feature two-player, same-screen co-op, multiple weapon upgrades and six Space Marine chapters.

Anyone that buys the game and completes its first mission will unlock the Power Sword weapon for use in Space Marine multiplayer: it apparently features “unique animations, combos and damage output.”

Space Marine itself releases in September for PC, PS3 and 360.

I feel like I should get a discount as I own Dawn of War 2 and this game seems to use all it’s art and assets from that game.

um really shocked that its not going to be released on PC, Warhammer40k is a PC franchise,i own all the games and THQ has to respect PC community and port the game to Steam. they first did it with Space Marine i hope they reconsider this game too

It’s a twin stick shooter, while they do work on PC they’re best on console.
