UFC Undisputed 3 announced for early 2012

THQ's made official UFC Undisputed 3, confirming the new iteration of the fighting series for an early 2012 launch.

The game, which will be on show at E3 next week, will feature Pride matches that are based on the now-defunct Pride Fighting Championship, according to GameSpot.

There are also changes to the striking and grappling gameplay systems, as well as trying to make the experience more friendly to experienced and new players of the series.

There's a preview of it and interview with the game's dev team at GameSpot.

It's the first proper UFC title, not including Fitness Trainer, since UFC Undisputed 2010, which performed sluggishly in sales. It'll launch on 360 and PS3.
