E3 rumour watch: SEGA sends OPM Aliens pulse rifle
The Official Playstation Magazine received a rather awesome surprise this morning: SEGA had sent them a huge package containing a Pulse Rifle from Aliens.

It also contained two boxes full of imaginary ammo. You can check out the pics over at OPM’s official Facebook page. Looks awesome.
While there’s nothing concrete on what the gun actually means, it may well point to an E3 reveal of Gearbox’s Aliens: Colonial Marines.
Expect more details and possibly a release window for game at the show next week.
Thanks, Space jockey pilot.

@Space Jockey: I don’t think it’ll be part of a CE. This just looks like random promo material to me. But yeah, expect some details regarding this at E3, atleast I’m.

It’s much more likely to be the Aliens game that creative assembly recently announced. Gearbox will be working on Borderlands 2, after the surprise success of the first game.

@4 but if you add both the Dolls head what got sent to some sites plus this Rifle they are both from ALIENS and Aliens:CM is an ALIENS game so id say its for CM
and also if you go on to the playstation magazines facebook page and look on the Rifle pics you can actually see they have named that folder “Aliens: Colonial Marines” which just about confirms everything…
and if you have missed the article about the dolls head here it is….

Maybe they’re thanking them for not calling AvP the woeful, outdated piece of shit it really was? They gave it a 9/10. I’d say that’s worth all the pulse rifles in the world, for shamelessly trying to improve an otherwise hopeless metascore.
Speaking of SEGA and jockeys though, Rocket Jockey is one franchise they BADLY need to revisit. Like, yesterday. That game was absolutely outstanding.

This is like when Drug Reps come into doctors offices and gives Free Samples of the Drugs to give to patients, but the doctors would get Free Luggage, Free Vacations, Free Airline Tickets, and it got so bad they were giving doctors free cars. So Congress Stepped in an Outlawed!
So when a Magazine Shows off what a Gaming Company sent it…then I will 100% Discount that Magazine Review and Score!!!

Well I Upset Australia’s OPM, and they sent me an Email, informing me that they are not “Bought” off so to speak by Swag they are sent though they never come right out and say that free swag does not influence their scoring of a game.
Official PlayStation Magazine – Australia wrote: “Have you read the mag lately? We’re not ‘bought’ by promotional material or anything else that’s sent our way.”
