Avalanche confident in PSN despite the breach causing halt to Renegade Ops development on PS3

Avalanche's Andreas Thorsen is confident that Sony's newly implemented network security measures will do "be even more secure than the competitors'."

He also remains confident in the network despite having to halt development on Renegade Ops during the downtime as a result of the recent security breach.

Speaking with CVG, Thorsen said: "I think the new system that they bring now will probably be even more secure than the competitors'. I don't think this is something that is unique to the PSN, it's just that this time it happened to them. I still have a lot of confidence in them."

Thorsen goes on to say that PSN is "a good target," for Renegade Ops, as he doesn't think the network "has that many games like this."

Renegade Ops is slated for a summer release on PC and Xbox Live as well.
