Mortal Kombat retail-exclusive DLC packs to see general release
Mortal Kombat’s retailer-exclusive and pre-order bonus DLC will soon be made available for purchase.

Creator Ed Boon tweeted the news, saying the DLC will be trailered on Friday.
Unfortunately for those who already have one or another of the packages, the DLC will be released as a bundle, with seven outfits and three fatalities in one pack.
It seems the bundles price and date are yet to be locked down, although Friday’s trailer may reveal more.
Boon commented elsewhere that Netherrealm has more DLC plans underway.
Mortal Kombat is a reboot of the long-running fighter franchise, retaining many elements of the game’s established canon and roster. The lack of “klassic” outfits for the beloved – and somewhat identical-looking” ninja and kunoichi characters has been a sore point for some fans.
Thanks, Joystiq.

The picture in the article is misleding. The Seven classic outfits are : Jade, Kitana, Mileena, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Ermac and Reptile.
The two on the right in the above picture are smoke class (which you can fight against but not unlocked in game) and I assume rain?

I thought so! I know Boon keeps teasing us about Rain but I don’t think its official and thats right, I forget about Smoke. It’d be nice if you could use him too. Though honestly, the “Klassic” Fatalities are cooler than the costumes…
