Rumour: Penguin to appear in Arkham City

Purported print sources apparently reveal ornithological villain the Penguin is to play a major role in Batman: Arkham City.

Fansite ArkhamCity.co.uk reports two print sources specifically mentioning the Penguin's inclusion.

The first, an interview with Rocksteady marketing executive Dax Ginn for the "Australian Sunday Herald", was accompanied by an image of the Penguin along with some muscle.

Alas, the "Australian Sunday Herald" doesn't actually exist - but interviews with Ginn from earlier this month appear in both the Sydney Morning Herald and the Herald Sun.

In neither online source does Ginn make mention of the Penguin, although it's not inconceivable the print versions differ from material published online.

The second source, apparently culled from the pages of Games Master, includes no scans. Blurbs for Games Master's May and June issues make no mention of Arkham City content, and nor does its web-based sister, Games Radar.

Feel free to hit the links above for the run down, and speculate freely on the Penguin's inclusion - but wait for official word before ringing the bells of delight. We've contacted Warner Bros. to ask for more info.

ArkhamCity.co.uk's earlier reveal of Game Informer material turned out to be valid.
