Yes, the vision in my crystal ball is becoming clearer. I see men. I see men in military uniforms. And they’re holding guns. And they’re firing them. Oh my – and explosions, such huge explosions!
No, no, the vision is going, the crystal ball grows cloudy again.
Now cross my palm with silver or your children will die by drowning etc. etc.

i just hope its not teaser like 30s that show 5s of actually gameplay.
But game will show tank battle,Captain Price with narrative or Makarov while US army attacking Moscow.
Fanboys will cry of happiness and others will say how shit is graphic.
Now pay me 5$ for using my crystal ball.

Exactly…i don’t get it why people are so hyped and excited. They are doing this shit every year, and everybody goes crazy…but i’m done with it. I bought Black Ops, liked it alot at first and then out of the blue i started to get bored with it and haven’t touched it ever since.
I can’t know for sure..but i’d actually be surprised if they FINALLY had a new engine for this game, but nah…not gonna happen. But also some serious changes, some new things…some real improvements if you will. But again, nah…not gonna happen.
I’ll take back my words if i’m wrong.

I want to see trailer just to laugh at this shit.
I hope that someone will try to say some bullshit in Russian.
for me Call Of duty is just a comedy, it’s not even in Michael Bay level of quality (which is shit)

Why are they still being called Infinity Ward? It should be more like Activision Ward, all the core IW guys left.

You BF3 fanboys can cry rubbish all you want. Modern Warfare 3 will be great, and will sell millions. And at least tonight we get some CONSOLE footage….Meanwhile DICE are deceiving you sheep with PC visuals and everyone’s salivating….Sheep indeed.

@11 Lol ?
@7 They already said its not going to have new engine because it would be do more damage then good…They want to say in short period of time the DON’T have time to make and understand new engine….
But again they could hire 2-3 people to start working on new engine like 2 years ago and now use it or in next game but hey why bother cause this engine already sell…

Sheep? Lol…that has nothing to do with sheep and also…you are wrong. We are well aware that its PC footage dude, and we know that the console version won’t look as good. However DICE has said the Xbox 360 version will look very good, so i’m expecting something very good too, but we’ll see.
Really no reason to mention BF3 in all this, calling them fanboys is childish. Nobody has mentioned BF3, just because someone dislikes COD doesn’t mean they are a BF fanboy. I used to play and enjoy both, but have grown tired of the same old BS over and over again, which is…face it…COD!
If anyone can be called sheep…i guess it’s the folks who keep buying COD, Activision could release a monthly COD game and some people would still buy it, sheep indeed!

Shut up, younger gamer. And don’t go deleting my comment because you’re a “mod”. You guys love insulting COD just because it’s that: COD. But the Battlefield games are just as rampant: Battlefield 1, Battlefield 2, Battlefield 3, Battlefield: Bad Company, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Battlefield 1940-something…Battlefield free to play…Battlefield Battlefield BATTLEFIELD… The only reason folks are hating is because Call of Duty makes billions and have the biggest following ever….You can’t stand it – that’s okay, but don’t go acting like it’s the worst game ever created, because its OBVIOUSLY not.

It’s gonna be really interesting to see what happens in terms of sales.
Campaign is a given though. You’re gonna be betrayed by someone you meet somewhere in the first two missions, and that’s gonna happen sometime around the last two or three missions, and if we look at the times you get killed in the first person:
MW – 1 time
MW2 – 2 times
MW3 – ???
Well, you know. Don’t get too attached to anyone.
All I care about is where the multiplayer is going. DICE can only improve, Infinity Ward can only screw it up for themselves.

especially since the studio is now made with scabs and replacements. Might as well call them Treyarch 2.

That’s the exciting part Phoenix. I haven’t heard anything specific after the leadership left, so I’m taking that to mean that most of the developers stayed behind.
Which could be bad enough, since the whole series is Zampella and Wests vision, but there’s still the hope that the “peons” will have contributed enough to know what the game is about, and actually improve on it.
… But I’m not neccesarily holding my breath on that one

i cannot speak for everybody but for me is not because is bad, on the contrary for me all the call of dutys were great games, i do own call of duty 2,3 MW,MW2 and black ops,and they were great but the last 3 games are kind of the same thing without any improvements, new things or anything new for that matter , and thats want i do want to see something a little bit different,if i dont see it i will not pick MW3, even if it is still great.
#20 if you see the global numbers of ps3 and xbox360 sold, and the call of duty game sold on those platforms, lets take black ops for instance almost 12 million units, it goes around the 20% of the installed base, which is not everyone, a hughe part yes indeed, but not all.

Its gonna be retailers price war once again!
Sainsbury, Asda, Tesco are gonna battle it again!
so make sure you are prepared! The game is going for £44+
supermarkets will go for it below £40!
this is a MUST get game!
I love the storymode so much

The improvements have all been in the multiplayer though. The campaigns were nice flash and jingles, and I think that has improved quite a bit over the years in terms of flashy jingleness, but it was ultimately just the same set-piece shooting gallery it’s always been.
Whether you enjoy it or not is obviously up to you, but I’m amazed by how finely tuned MW2′s multiplayer was. From the subtle genius of the level design, to the weapon formats. Fair enough if you like BF or MW1 better, but MW1 was ultimately a lot more random and a lot less focused.
Shotguns do lag and the 40mm nades are too powerful, and the G18 is awful, but compared to most other games, that’s very little to endure.
@29 Being a busy bee. I’m never totally gone. I have to see what’s going on, and obviously I haven’t missed ArmA 3, since I check on Armaholic at least a few times a week :p
Hopefully they’ll improve on the AI, that’s all I care about at this point.

Some of you act like talent doesn’t move within the industry.
Looking at some of the resumes of people who joined IW after the mass exodus, i can see: 2K Games, EA, Kaos THQ, Crystal Dynamics, amongst others.
Far from the “scabs and replacements” as mentioned above…..

@27 nah, not everyone buys it. The remaining 80% are renting, second hand and piracy… There. Fixed.
That said, I would love to see a groundbreaking, revisited CoD. But it aint gonna happen. I won’t buy it, I’ll rent that sucker.

That doesn’t mean anything you can’t pick up someone from the street (industry) who have no idea how the engine works and expect the same quality. They haven’t worked on the engine before and then activision tells them to pump it out in less than 2 years there is a reason why developers keep their workers because they know how everything works. You won’t get the same quality of work as you would from the people who have not only made the engine but also started the series.

@34: I agree to an extent. But bear in mind that a lot of the groundwork was already in place prior to the whole explosion between Activision and IW. A lot more than you probably expect.
Also, the tools and fundamentals behind “engines” aren’t all that drastically different. Specifics would need to be mastered quickly, but then again, isn’t that a skill required in the industry anyway?

Okay, so in The Netherlands around 3 AM. I think sleeping is the better option.
I think this is the same marketing like 2 years ago, first put a teaser on the web around March and during a special sport event launching an 2 minute trailer.
Believe me, it will be the same length.
Really hope to see some progress in the engine, mainly because N4G blew that article up. We add some new cool features, we have to see…..tomorrow.

All I care about is how the M4A1 carbine looks/plays in mp. Favorite weapon by far of MW1/MW2. The only reason i’m playing Medal of Honour instead of Blops is because MoH has a nice M4A1.
And no the Commando in Blops is not w substitute… its shit -_-

COD is being released every single year but ofc it took more than a year to do the game, and they might don’t need to use a new engine while they can get more from it.
Just wait and see the more which will come from it !
