RIFT sale offers cut-price MMORPGing

MMORPGing’s not cheap, and when you’ve got one subscription on the go, it’s tempting to ignore other options. Happily, a Steam sale gives you the chance to take the plunge and still make your budget this week.

The US Steam portal is offering two editions of RIFT at a reduced price – the standard at $33.49, down from $50, and the collector’s at $40.19, down from $60.

Both editions include a bonus item pack, and more importantly, 30 days’ subscription, meaning you get a month without fees to give it a go.

You’ve got until May 23 to take advantage of the deal.

The Trion Worlds MMORPG is also sporting a seven day trial and refer a friend program to tempt newbies.

Thanks, Joystiq.

the Games a bit boring tbh, great graphics but very wow like, apart from rift has way too many servers so low popualations.. no economy on the auction house. Played til i leveled my character to 50 and then packed it in.. got boring like wow did as well.

They forgot to put any humour whatsoever into the game. Fatal error. Game gets dull fast.

I can’t grasp how people can say this game has good graphics, I played it and it was nothing special. Take a look at Age of Conan, sure the game is dead and bugged to death. But THAT is a good lookin MMORPG.

Also, RIFT had the most boring intro ever compared to WAR, Aion and Age of Conan. :)
