Report: IGN selling Direct2Drive to Gamefly
IGN is in the process of selling Direct2Drive, its digital distribution service to Gamefly.

According to a report over on MCV, the official announcement of the sale is expected next week once the deal is complete.
Gamefly, is a game rental service similar to Netflix, and akin to the UK’s LoveFilm.
Direct2Drive launched digital rental service recently which will fit in well with Gamefly’s disc offerings through the post
IGN recently purchased UGO.

Well this could be big.
Now I wonder, will d2D incorperate Streaming games ala onlive soon? Would make for a hella good gamefly service.

Good question.
Would be like Netflix if they do both.
