Buy a PC, score an Xbox 360

Microsoft is offering bonus Xbox 360 consoles to US students purchasing a new PC from May 22.

Microsoft announced the deal on its Windows Team Blog. The offer applies to new Windows 7 PCs bought for at least $699 from Microsoft’s website, Dell.com or HP.com.

You’ll need to use an .edu email address in order to take advantage of the deal, or a student ID number for use in a participating bricks-and-mortar retailer.

Fulfill these requirements, and Microsoft will reward your purchase with a bonus 4GB Xbox 360.

The deal runs until September 3 and is currently restricted to the US, but will shortly expand to Canada and … France? Okay. France.

Thanks, EvilAvatar.

??? Spending €699,- means $1200,- dollars, than France retail have to add free games, or accessories(extra controllers), mic/console keyboard, or MS points when you purchased a PC with Windows 7….

@3 I don’t think they will simply use the “$1 = €1″ policy. That would not make sense at all. That being said, a €699 PC would not be incredible. I mean mine was worth much more than that and it was home-built, not even a Dell product so… And I don’t get this thing everybody has to always want more free stuff than is offered. I mean if you gotta buy a PC, you buy it and get an extra Xbox, great! If you don’t need a PC, why would you bother?

@5, with all due respect, I still European, and i know that European love to copy like US.. so yes, what $1 = €1,-, it all happens when they Euro came on the market in 2000, i lives in The Netherlands in that time, all sudden what bread, eggs cost in guilders transfered into €… example bread cost 1GLD what normaly €0.45 cost, the same bread will cost €1,-, so a profits of 1,5GLD…. mostly all the retail doing that…

I don’t know why all sudden “FRANCE” is separated, are they no longer member of the EEC??? im pretty sure they still member of the EEC, why not the whole Europe can enjoy as a student when you buy a PC you will have a Xbox……
