VendenBerghe to return to GDC Europe 2011

Three new sessions have been announced for GDC 2011, including a presentation by conference favourite Ubisoft creative director Jason VandenBerghe, on developing existing IP.

The lecture, entitled The Magic Gun: Surviving IP Development Through Embracing Your Constraints, will use examples like James Bond, Star Trek, Ghost Recon and Lord of the Rings, according to Gamasutra.

Under the umbrella of the new Smartphone & Tablet Games Summit, Marc Hehmeyer of Fishlabs will discuss porting Galaxy on Fire 2 from iDeviceto Android.

Matthias Hellmund of Exozet will give a talk on converting board games, such as Catan and Carcassone, to mobile devices.

Highlights of recently announced topics include sessions on Mass Effect, Mortal Kombat, and Brink.
