UK retailers starts taking MW3 pre-orders

UK retailers have started taking pre-orders of Modern Warfare 3 following a colossal leak on the game last week.

Following the lead of GameStop and Amazon in the US, ShopTo, GAME and HMV have all followed lead.

All three listings have it down for the OTT-mentioned release of November 8, with HMV featuring a banner of the game with the date on its front page.

The listings follow a massive load of information on the shooter, thought to be co-developed by Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games, leaked last Friday. The former confirmed afterwards it was working on the game, as well as launching four teaser trailers.

GAME and HMV have kicked off now, the latter having it on the front page of its site.

pre ordered mine from game. They were the cheapest for ps3 (£40 instead of £45 but i bet that could very well change so i’ve ordered now).

Why? Why do people pre-order things months and months in advance? It’s not like they run out! And COD’s always price-chopped in the supermarket on release day anyway! :-D

@3 – personally if i want i’ll just pre order it (i tend to wait on games that will have pre order bonuses or LE’s that may interest me before i decide to order but i know MW3 wont have either of these).

There’s no real reason but there’s no real reason for me not to either =/

Also the supermarket deals for black ops last year were actually pretty crap nothing like MW2′s massive price slashing so i dont hold as much hope for awesome bargains but i’ll obv keep an eye out anyways.

PS: yep game has already put ps3 back to £45 so i must have been really quick =s

@3 Well sometimes by pre-ordering you get the game a day early, that’s 24 hours of multiplayer lead over someone who waited… you’ll have opened up all the good guns… all the top perks… leaving Johnny “i’ll wait for the supermarket to open” at a serious disadvantage!!
Untill you prestige & lose it all of course ;)
