Murder is the case: LA Noire hits 90+ on MetaCritic

LA Noire’s reviews embargo has lifted. It is scoring big? Seems to be: nothing’s gone below eight anyway.

The game’s now hit 91 for the PS3 version and 92 for the Xbox 360 version on MetaCritic.

Get a round-up of scores below. If you want us to add a score, add a link in the comments and we’ll chuck it in.

The long-in-development Team Bondi actioner is released in the US tomorrow and in the UK on Friday for PS3 and 360.

maybe its one of those abnormally cool things which appeals to the masses but is ultimately aimed at a niche?

@50: There’s a french review listend on MC. They gave it a 7 because it has technical flaws and is very repetitive, but well you know it’s a Rockstar game and they never score less than 9 even with boring games like GTA4 ;DDD

@52: Are you talking about the Gamekult review? If that’s the case it’s not really a bad review. In fact Gamekult is one of the few websites (or even magazines) that use the whole rating palette and not only the 7 to 10 grades (proof is the subtext that goes with the 7 grade is “good”). They still say it’s a bit redundant, which is my main concern. Maybe I’ll wait and see some user reviews to make my decision…

EDIT: GTA IV was, indeed, a disappointment to me.

Fuck, this is an excellent review. Maybe the best I read about L.A. Noire
