Eidos Montreal working on new IP, confirms Square chart

Square Enix studios across the world, including Eidos Montreal, are working on five new IPs respectively, the publisher confirmed this morning.

Mentioned in a chart during its FY2011 financials, the publisher said that two new IPs would come from its Tokyo studio (Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest), with one from the Deus Ex devs, another at IO Interactive - who only announced Hitman Absolution this week - and one more at its new Wimbledon studio in London.

Eidos Montreal has been working on Deus Ex: Human Revolution for an August release as its first game, as well as working on Thief 4 in the background. Nothing on that expect its logo and a possible screen from the game has been seen since its 2009 announcement.

Deus art director Jonathan Jacques-Belletete did admit recently that development on the fourth installment was ramping up.

We'll look into this with Square Enix now. A full report on the financials will be coming on the site shortly.
