More assets from Namco, this time from Ridge Racer: Unbounded, the latest big instalment in the veteran drive series. Get it all below.

We need a new Ridge Racer that feels like R4 did! Screens look great. GT5 is a lot of fun.. but you can’t beat a tight TIGHT arcade racer. I yearn for it.

There is definitely a place for a purebred arcade racer on PS3. You can keep your Motorstorm and Split/Second gimmicks.

[EDIT] Oh boy … the announcement trailer looks awful. I hope they don’t make it a stupid Burnout clone.

This game really does look last-gen.

I wish they would just focus on making a tight and balanced arcade racer instead of fucking around with explosions and collisions and all the tat that give teenagers hard-ons.

R4 was coming to PSN right? I’ll take that over this any day.

Thanks for the vid. Feels like a rather cheap mix of Burnout and Midnight Club 3. Flatout games were great so maybe this will be fun.

What I’d like is a nice arcade racer which doesn’t need to rubberband the hell out of the AI. I hate rubberbanding. Oh @7 I would also like a new Flatout too – if they can just concentrate on the stunt games too – that would be awesome.

Did you see the fire effect on the flipped car in the trailer!? It was like two alternating still images!

Also, ‘We are the Unbounded’… WHAT!?
