Dave Jones takes an advisory position with APB: Reloaded developer

GamersFirst has hired Realtime Worlds’ Dave Jones as an advisor All Points Bulletin.

The original boss behind APB will use his new advisory role to “share his vast game design experience during critical design stages,” according to a press release from the firm (via Massively).

“The game was my passion back when I was developing it with Realtime Worlds, and I’m extremely excited to be able to participate in fulfilling the long term vision for the title,” said Jones.

APB Reloaded is currently in closed beta, and the open beta is expected to launch on May 18.

It was his hubris that tanked the original.

How are they going to fix the balancing? The game is simply no fun.

@4 LMAO

Beautiful customisation, shoddy unbalanced gameplay – They were my impressions of the original APB after the years of hype, maybe I’ll try the new beta, but they really need to work on making newer players actually useful.
