Portal 2 Authoring Tools released by Valve

Valve’s released the Authoring Tools kit for Valve 2, enabling you to make your own levels for the game. The tools included in the kit allow you to create any type of mod for the game: single-player or co-op maps, music, 3D models and more. The kit is available now for PC on Steam via the Tools tab. There’s more details on it here.

Having completed the SP and MP, I was really hoping they would do this! Such a good game. N1 Valve!

I wonder if the PS3 version can download user created content from Steam (once PSN is back that is)?

#3 onyxbox – Was wondering that as well, I think that I read somewhere that it should be possible to download some stuff, but if they meant the updates and DLC, I’m not sure about.

It’ll be nice to see what people create for this. Some of the stuff made for Portal 1 was fairly amazing.
