Am I the only one who thinks that in terms of the graphics quality, the screens doesn’t show anything… good?

Well these aren’t shots of anything, they all seem to be CG and not the actual game.

This is actually first linear and not open world from Rockstar game?

Impressively detailed open worlds are Rockstar’s high point, not art direction. That’s the way it’s always been. Though admittedly they could do with a little more art direction to make them more visually appealing, but to be honest with you, I don’t think that the vast majority of gamers would care.

So for them it’d just be a waste of money. It’s better for them to concentrate on details rather than looks.

I’m not sure if Max Payne 3 will be open world, at least I never heard about it.

Just like the previous ones, MP3 looks like a nicely directed piece of movie-like thingy, which will suffer from graphics in many cut-scenes. I mean, come on – close-ups on Max’s arm, which looks like a big piece of ham?

I am absolutely not describing the overall quality of the game by the looks, but… Really. It’s 2011. Maybe I’ve been spoiled too much by recent games.

^ From what i understand we’ll see him pass by multiple stages throughout the game, the bald (fat?) one being one of them.
