FFXIII gets budget re-release in Japan this July
Square Enix has announced its to re-release Final Fantasy XIII as a budget release in Japan for both PS3 and 360. The PS3 version will come under Square’s Ultimate hits line, while the 360 SKU will be part of Microsoft’s Platinum Hits collection, as the game is already in the Square line-up from its original release in the country last December.
Both PS3 and 360 will launch for ¥3,990 on July 21. Thanks, Andriasang.

Lol, it’s been at a budged price since it was released, so people will have to pay more for a shity cover?

I was a diehard FF fan, started playing them on SNES. But this game.. it’s the combat system that ruins it for me. If only there were an option to make it traditional / turn based. Every time I try to get back into it I get fed up / frustrated with random deaths.
Everything else is fine. I even enjoyed the 20 hour long “intro”.

@ 2 – you’re the first person I’ve heard say that. Are you being serious?
Other than the graphics and music, the battle system is the only thing that makes it worth playing!
If you haven’t already, stick with it until the crystarium opens up fully.
