Team Bondi discusses how it replicated 1940s Los Angeles in L.A. Noire

A a video featuring an interview with Team Bondi founder Brendan McNamara and production designer Simon Wood has the duo explaining how the team created the look of 1940s Los Angeles in L.A. Noire. Hint: the team did tons of research.

Thanks to a fella who attached a large camera to plane and flew over Los Angeles in the 20s taking pictures, Team Bondi were able to see what the city looked like before its post World War II boom. If you want an idea of just how much the city has grown since the 1940s when the game takes place, just use the iconic City Hall building as an example. It was the tallest building in LA once, now, it's not even close.

It's a really interesting interview, and it shows just how much attention to detail the team have put into the game's landscape.

L.A. Noire is out on PS3 and Xbox 360 in a couple of weeks.
