Metro: Last Light title confirmed

THQ has confirmed the upcoming sequel to 4A Games' Metro 2033 will be called Metro: Last Light.

CEO Brian Farrell made the announcement during the publisher's FY 2011 final quarter financials.

The sequel's title was dug up a few weeks ago thanks to domain registrations.

The company has vowed to provide greater support for the upcoming game, after a releatively quiet launch for the March 2010 original.

The fledgling dystopian series is based on the novel by Dmitry Glukhovsky. No release date as yet, but we're expecting it within the next financial year or two.
