Develop organisers have confirmed this morning that EA Sports’ senior vice president of worldwide development, Andrew Wilson, will keynote the summer event.
Giving the opening Evolve speech, Wilson’s talk is known as “Moving the Goalposts – Bringing Social Experiences to all Game Platforms,” and will take place on Tuesday, July 19, 2011.
According to the press release sent out today, Wilson will “explore the opportunities that video game makers have to attack the digital transformation of the entertainment industry head on, as well as looking at the core mechanics of what makes all videogames social.”
“I’m excited to have the opportunity to be a part of the Develop Conference,” he said.
“As consumption behaviours, consumer demands and business models rapidly evolve in our industry, we have an opportunity to reset expectations on how we make all games social, regardless of the platform. This event will be a terrific platform to have these kinds of discussions about the future of the videogame industry.”
Develop takes place from July 19-21 in Brighton.
