Lionhead has released a Fable III developer diary in which the studio chats about the various changes made in order for it to work on PC, which included a rewrite of the control system, the addition of 3D support and more. It’s a chest with Davy Jones’ heart in it, not the actual chest of a dead man which contains internal organs and such. Well, maybe kind of. Anyway, there’s a video and some screenshots below for Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, which focuses on the third installment of the movie series: Dead Man’s Chest. The game, which covers all four movies in the series, is slated for release alongside On Stranger Tides in May for DS, PC, PSP, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360.

Telltale games has tweeted that Back to the Future: Episode 4 – Double Visions will be released on PC and Mac next week.  In it, Marty McFly teams with “First Citizen Brown” in an alternate 1986, and is tasked with creating an invention which will keep a younger Doc Brown from making a huge mistake. The FIFA Interactive World Cup Grand Final, which has partnered with Sony and EA Sports, announced today that it will be flying the 24 finalists of the virtual football tournament to Los Angeles, where the winner will be crowned during a “three-day entertainment extravaganza.”

Microsoft is selling the PC version of Resident Evil 5 for £10 until April 28, meaning you should probably buy it if you haven’t tried it already. Get it here. The US version’s discounted to $15 for the same period. The action-horror was originally released in 2009.

US games journalist Geoff Keighley launched The Final Hours of Portal 2 last night, a $1.99 iPad app detailing the creative process behind Valve’s puzzler. The feature itself comes in at 15,000 words and includes interactive diagrams, magazine-style production and such.

“The Final Hours of Portal 2 is a gripping and dramatic story brought to life by exclusive photos, videos, interviews, interactive experiences, and other surprises,” said Keighley.

GoNintendo’s carrying what appears to be a GameStop memo saying DS Lite has been discontinued. The news follows Sony’s move this week to shut down PSPgo production – despite SCEA insisting the machine is still be made in the US – and the release of 3DS in February and March. Nintendo’s said nothing on this as yet. DS LIte launched in 2006.

And when we say “slight,” we mean it. Suda 51′s latest descent into unspeakable (and unspeakably bizarre) madness has taken a two week tumble. Now dated for June 21, the game was originally set to hit shelves on June 7. If you need something to do while you’re coping with this seismic shift in the year’s release calendar, you can always read our GDC impressions and giggle at the game’s “boner” gun mode. Kotaku’s been invited to take a look at the second part of the Starcraft trilogy, Heart of the Swarm, next month. Apparently this is going to be a quick look at the campaign, and we not going to see anything of any multiplayer changes as yet. There are no other details on this at the moment, and it’s unlikely we’re going to see the product this year. We should know more for definite at Blizzcon 2011, which takes place in October.
