Fable III dev diary discusses changes made in order for it to work on PC
Lionhead has released a Fable III developer diary in which the studio chats about the various changes made in order for it to work on PC, which included a rewrite of the control system, the addition of 3D support and more. Lego Pirates of the Caribbean video and screens show a dead man’s chest
It’s a chest with Davy Jones’ heart in it, not the actual chest of a dead man which contains internal organs and such. Well, maybe kind of. Anyway, there’s a video and some screenshots below for Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, which focuses on the third installment of the movie series: Dead Man’s Chest. The game, which covers all four movies in the series, is slated for release alongside On Stranger Tides in May for DS, PC, PSP, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360.

Conduit 2 launch trailer released

Back to the Future: Episode 4 – Double Visions landing on PC and Mac next week
Telltale games has tweeted that Back to the Future: Episode 4 – Double Visions will be released on PC and Mac next week. In it, Marty McFly teams with “First Citizen Brown” in an alternate 1986, and is tasked with creating an invention which will keep a younger Doc Brown from making a huge mistake. Resident Evil 5 £10 on Games for Windows this weekend

Keighley launches premium Portal 2 iPad feature
US games journalist Geoff Keighley launched The Final Hours of Portal 2 last night, a $1.99 iPad app detailing the creative process behind Valve’s puzzler. The feature itself comes in at 15,000 words and includes interactive diagrams, magazine-style production and such.
“The Final Hours of Portal 2 is a gripping and dramatic story brought to life by exclusive photos, videos, interviews, interactive experiences, and other surprises,” said Keighley.

Rumour: DS Lite discontinued
GoNintendo’s carrying what appears to be a GameStop memo saying DS Lite has been discontinued. The news follows Sony’s move this week to shut down PSPgo production – despite SCEA insisting the machine is still be made in the US – and the release of 3DS in February and March. Nintendo’s said nothing on this as yet. DS LIte launched in 2006.

Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm to be shown next month
Kotaku’s been invited to take a look at the second part of the Starcraft trilogy, Heart of the Swarm, next month. Apparently this is going to be a quick look at the campaign, and we not going to see anything of any multiplayer changes as yet. There are no other details on this at the moment, and it’s unlikely we’re going to see the product this year. We should know more for definite at Blizzcon 2011, which takes place in October.
