Sony’s London studio developing unannounced PS3 title

Thursday, 28th April 2011 17:50 GMT By Debabrata Nath

The LinkedIn profile of Martin van der Meulen, an employee of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, has revealed that Sony is currently developing an unannounced PS3 exclusive.

Martin held the position of Creative Producer for Playstation Home at SCE EU, before taking on his current role of Creative Producer within Sony’s London studio for an unannounced PS3 title, seven months ago.

His profile clearly mentions this in bold letters: “Creative Producer – unannounced PS3 title at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. I currently work on an unannounced PS3 title within Sony’s London Studio.”

Although, it’s difficult to predict what this game might be, considering it’s Sony London, there’s the off chance the game might be Eight Days or The Getaway, since the studio was working on each before the projects came to a halt.

Thanks, VGN365.

Sony’s The Getaway 3 and Eight Days titles for the PS3 now link with Santa Monica Studio. Rumoured to be released in 2012.

I really enjoyed the first Getaway. Played through it three times. But the sequel was shocking.
Be good to see a new one.

Title should read: ‘First party games studio, with no announced project, in first party exclusive development shocker!’

Kind of liked getaway, I just liked seeing london in a game rather than usual settings like new york.

The Getaway was my first ps2 game and god it was amazing, the story, the gameplay were epic, shame about the sequal, they did improve a few gameplay mechanics but the story was shit and the game level design as a whole didn’t impress. I really hope this is Getaway’s true sequal being made.
