Driver: San Francisco dated for September 2 in UK

Ubisoft's confirmed that Driver: San Francisco will launch in the UK on September 2.

It follows confirmation of a US August 30 date overnight.

Reflections, which was bought by Ubisoft along with the Driver IP in 2006, is rebooting the series following a five year silence. The last main title in the series was the Atari-published Parallel Lines.

San Francisco was unveiled at E3 last summer for a holiday 2010 launch, but has been delayed several times until now.

The story picks up after and sees Tanner in a coma following a new get together with old foe Jericho. However, Tanner doesn't believe he's in said coma and whilst in it, picks up the ability known as Shift.

Stace seen the game for us in London last week. Catch his impressions here. Watch the new trailer below.
