Telltale creating episodic series based on Law & Order

Tuesday, 19th April 2011 09:24 GMT By Nathan Grayson

At this rate, the game’s final level will be an anti-monopoly case in which Telltale is on trial for buying up all the licenses.

After becoming the digital purveyor of everything from Jurassic Park to Back to the Future to The Walking Dead, Telltale’s added yet another big name to its episodic arsenal. This time, it’s popular court drama Law & Order – more specifically, the Los Angeles spin-off, which is still taking its first wobbly steps out of season one.

According to the initial press release, the big bullet points are “interrogation,” “criminal investigations,” and – of course – some spicy “courtroom drama” to keep all that boring crime and murder from getting too stale.

Telltale’s shooting for a still-vague “2011″ release date on PC, Mac, consoles, and mobile. So everything short of the Etch-a-Sketch, basically. Apparently, more info is on the way “in the coming months.” So we don’t have to time travel backward to get it. Thank goodness.

Thanks, Joystiq.

    Um… L.A Noire Anyone? Although I do have a certain amount of respect for Telltale so this could definitely be good. But it would of been nice if they hadn’t gone all Medal of Honour.

    I don’t like “talented” telltale, i tried demos of every game and i really don’t like them, yes even their monkey island(downloaded for free), it’s far far away from the original.
    I bought that shit called csi(because it’s the only detective game for ps3) and surprise it’s developed by telltale.
    They are negated for graphics and controls, i think that telltale are really overrated.

    Fair enough its just I kinda enjoy that kinda thing to the extent that I even enjoyed CSI despite its sluggish play and bad graphics. So if that is what your looking for (which I am) Telltale is the best by far.

    @3:
    csi is not THAT bad, it’s intriguing, but only because it has good stories, when i see the graphics, when i see the slowness of controls, when i see LOSS OF FRAMERATE in that game… I’m really disturbed.
    Csi should have been released as a psn/xbl game.
    I think that even with same stories and mechanics but different developer csi would be a good game.
    I wait for red johnson and i hope that la noire is closer to csi than to gta.
