Operation Flashpoint: Red River developer diary talks co-op

Did you know there's a game coming out this week that doesn't involve portals? The latest developer diary for Operation Flashpoint: Red River tells us why we should have remembered that: co-op.

Codemasters is apparently pretty keen on making a seamless drop-in, drop-out multiplayer experience, which is a difficult thing to pull off in a series known for its tactical realism.

"We've essentially re-engineered and re-architectured all of our tech and gameplay around co-op, so that gives you an idea of how seriously we take it," one Codie commented.

Operation Flashpoint: Red River releases for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 On April 21 in the UK and Europe, and June 7 in the US. It's the sequel to Dragon Rising.

Thanks, RPS.
