Battlestar Galactica Online lets you pilot a battlestar

A recent patch to Battlestar Galactica Online allows players to take command of a battlestar class ship.

Lead designer Andy Butcher explained the system to PC Gamer. Human players may control the Pegasus, while Cyclons can take the helm of the secondary Basestar.

In each case, the player must petition the commander of their fleet (that's Adama, for humans) on their faction's primary base - the Galactica or primary Basestar.

Both of these bases are statically positioned; no jumping into the Galactica's hot seat for you. Nuts.

You'll have to have earned enough merits - in-game currency - in order to get a chance to helm one of the massive ships. As there's only one of each ship, you'll have to wait your turn.

A player's command of the ship ends after an hour, when defeated in battle, or voluntarily through docking or logging out.
