War in the North trailer is full of bloody, slow-mo combat

Snowblind has released a new combat video for Lord of the Rings: War in the North, and it shows quite a bit of blood as our heroes hack their way through orcs and the like.

It’s a vignette video, so it’s just different clips of different battles with slow-motion added for additional effect.

War in the North ships for PC, 360 and PS3 later this year.

Why are there sooooooooo many RPGs (Un-Japanese) being announced, released and updated for consoles recently. There’s always been quite alot but its just exploded. How can market research show that there is any room for them all? Do they all think ‘Oooh, Skyrim is going to bring RPGs back into the limelight so I can make an RPG too… Skyrim blates ins’t gona steal my sells.’
In fact, now I think about it, it’s the same for Unrealistic Beat ‘em ups since SFIV.
*EDIT. Maybe I just hadn’t noticed them all till now.

@1 Considering it typically takes years to develop RPGs, and considering how recently Skyrim was announced, I very much doubt it played any part whatsoever in the current boom of RPGs set for release.

I do think there’s a bit much in such a short space of time though. It could potentially exhaust the genre.

@2 That is a very good point.
They’ll all probably all just yet delayed and pushed back to empty months.

Tis sad seeing my (albeit virtual) brethren killed in such gruesome ways. But alas, their hearts were tainted with evil; their feeble minds

I hope that none of my comrades in Ered Mithrin ever have to suffer such a fate.
