White Knight Chronicles 2 picked up for US release

PlayStation 3 exclusive White Knight Chronicles has been confirmed for US release, thanks to D3 Publisher.

Joystiq reports The Level-5 RPG, which also includes a remastered version of the original, will release during summer.

Sony will release the game in Europe in May. It’s been out in Japan for almost a year.

The Japanese version of the game was a kind of high-level expansion for the original, and required players to have a save file from a cleared game in order to avoid replaying the events of the first title. This feature has apparently been removed from the Western release.

The first White Knight Chronicles also suffered a long delay between Japanese and International releases, but benefited from massive patching in the meantime as Level-5 tweaked the heavily multiplayer-focused gameplay.

Hell yeah! Can’t wait for this one, I’m one of the few who appreciated the first one, despite it’s many shortcomings. They had a solid foundation to work with there, it just needed some refinement. I’m definitely on this day 1.

If they got rid of the infinite range of monsters then I’ll think of buying this one
