November Studios founded, ex-Lucasarts and EA devs announce Inemeri

Fledgling developer November Studios has launched with some impressive veteran experience and an intriguing first project – Inemeri.

Three of November Studios four staffers worked on Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, with the final member formerly of EA Sports.

The studio plans to create social games with production values similar to major releases.

“We want to take what we know and love about next-gen games: the deep immersion, high-fidelity atmosphere, multi-layered skill based mechanics, and bring them into the casual social gaming world,” co-founder Szymon Swistu told Gamasutra.

The studio’s first title is Inemeri, a streaming 3D title playable in browsers or on iDevices. It’s not entirely clear what it is, as November aim to create a new genre, but involves ‘creative exploration’.

The tagline “share the epic” suggests social features will be prominent.

its such a shame that people who worked with big developers and helped shipped lots of great games end up with a small development team who can only make social games:/

@4

Thats what they want? Even the great Will Wright did the same thing because he wanted to create games he wanted not what the publishers want.

Cool trailer, I like the ‘world’. More games should have windmills.
