Armored Core V to sport hour-long missions
Strap yourself into your mech, and you’re in it for the duration. Some of Armored Core V’s missions could take you a whole hour to complete.

Siliconera reports this week’s edition of Famitsu noted campaign levels take between 20 minutes and an hour.
Thankfully, mid-level saves are possible, through captured “garage points”, which also allow you to repair your lumbering robot shell.
Seventy additional “order missions” liven things up between these clearly epic story sessions, offering quick-fix action on your coffee break.
Armored Core V will see an international release in early 2012, on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The fact that people now sit there and go “A WHOLE HOUR MISSION! COR!” shows how fucking shit games have got.

You know, I don’t believe I have ever played a big stompy mech game. Apart from the old Front Missions, but they’re turn-based strategy games really.
