First Layton title hits 1 million units sold in Japan

Level 5 boss Akihiro Hino has confirmed in a tweet that the first Professor Layton title, The Curious Village, has sold 1 million units in Japan since its launch in 2007 for DS. The series has now shipped 11 million units worldwide. Three more titles in the series launched on DS, with the fifth in the series, The Mask of Miracle, appearing on 3DS. Hino also confirmed a sixth title was in development, but didn't state which platform it was for.
