Playstation Network down for “sporadic maintenance”

Monday, 4th April 2011 23:38 GMT By John Callaham

Ask PlayStation, the official PlayStation Network support Twitter, has confirmed the online service for the Playstation 3 and PSP consoles is “currently undergoing sporadic maintenance.”

“Access to the PSN may be interrupted throughout the day. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

No ETA has been given on when normal service will resume.

Just a few hours beforehand, the mysterious hacker group Anonymous threatened Sony over its continuing legal actions against PlayStation 3 hackers GeoHot and Graf_Chokolo.

Sony has given no indication that the outage is connected to external attack.

Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning. …

Way to go Anon. You fucked the only people actually liking you. Not only that but when Sony needs to look for a culprit they will point at you.

You shot yourself in the foot.

Don’t expect us to feel sorry for you when Sony manages to get some of you in prison. This is Cyber Terrorism. You’re damaging us, you dumb fucks. Not Sony, us. We didn’t put this SOB into this situation. He did it himself. He knew what he did was wrong, yet he did it. He deserves it.

You should stop right now, or you’ll lose your only supporters: Anonymous people behind the monitor.

    Dicks! Dicks everywhere!

but seriously, 4chan tries TOO hard with this shit. 4chan used to be about creativity. Hilarity. Doing things for hell of it. Content. Contribution. Finding new things. More hilarity. Keeping the internet a terrible place.

Now 4chan is sadly about destroying other people’s stuff and here is the result of this shit.

This is what I am talking about hackers claim they are doing things for the consumer, but reality is they are just screwing the average consumer. This type of stuff yea it hurts Sony, but what about the gamers it hurts them too.

I was pissed when I couldn’t sign in last night because that blocked me from Netflix as well as Socom beta and MvC3 online which kinda ruined my evening.

it’s not the hacker doing this.

Sony are working on the PSN.

Because I checked on monday morning an update blog for US PSN talking about tuesday’s update, and one of the commenter said if anyone could sign on PSN.

Now the hacker took over PS website in late afternoon.

so hackers did not have anything to do with PSN.

Ha ha – “sporadic maintenance” is an awesome term! Dictionary definition: “oh shit, it’s all going wrong and we don’t know what the fuck we’re doing!” :-D

Its petty sad to see that some people what to see a company that employs millions of ordinary people crash & burn simpley because they prefer another companies products. Shows not only who the true fanboys are, but how vile and twised they are.
