EG giving away Battlefield Play4Free beta codes
Eurogamer’s giving away over 30,000 beta codes for Battlefield Play4Free. Most of them are probably gone by now, but there’s still a good chance you can grab one before it’s all over. Get it here.
For those of you who can’t get a code, BFP4F will begin opening up on March 31 for those who have an EA ID and have played BFBC2 or Battlefield 1943. It’ll go properly open on April 4.

Four minutes of Portal 2 gameplay stolen from PAX
Valve was on hand to show off Portal 2 at PAX East over the weekend, leading to an inevitable off-screening of gameplay from the firm’s booth. Deus Ex got the same treatment earlier. Report: LA Noire takes over 25 hours to complete
Rockstar told people at PAX East over the weekend that LA Noire’s main campaign would take between 25-30 hours to complete, according to this PSLS report. That’s not including “unassigned cases,” homicides that help build the backstory of secondary characters.
The Team Bondi title releases in the US on May 17 and May 20 in the UK for PS3 and 360. Watch the second gameplay video Rockstar released last night here.

Staffer: Canned Starbreeze game was The Bourne Ascendency
The personal website of Mikael Lindgren, “a freelance video game designer” for Starbreeze, has listed “The Bourne Ascendency (Cancelled)” as his latest project. Starbreeze confirmed last March that one of its two games had been laid to rest, but failed to identify the project: the remaining game is rumoured to be a Syndicate reboot. Angry Birds downloaded over 100 million times
Rovio’s Peter Vesterbacka, speaking on a panel at the SXSW conference in Austin, Texas, this week, has confirmed that Angry Birds has now been downloaded more than 100 million times He reiterated that the game has 40 million monthly active users, who spend 200 million minutes a day playing the game across various devices. In addition, it’s been confirmed that Angry Birds Rio is going to be an Amazon exclusive on Android.
