L.A. Noire video shows bonus case “A Slip of the Tongue”

Thursday, 31st March 2011 17:19 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Rockstar has released a new Traffic desk case video for L.A. Noire called “A Slip of the Tongue”.

No, it has nothing to do with the Whitesnake song of the same name, it’s DLC that is available as a pre-order and launch exclusive bonus through Walmart in the US and Canada, and as a pre-order exclusive bonus through Play in the UK. It will be made available post release as paid DLC.

In A Slip of the Tongue, a seemingly “run-of-the-mill car theft ends up sparking an explosive investigation into the largest auto fraud racket the city has ever seen.” With the stolen cars piling up and questionable characters at every turn, Cole Phelps needs to crack the bonus mission case fast, apparently.

Enjoy below.

Game’s out May 17 and May 20 for PS3 and 360 in the US and Europe.

I’ve been thinking… It would be good to articles with videos in them highlighted the same way screenshot articles are. So the header would read ‘Video: blah blah blah’, just like ‘Quick Shots: ‘.

Obviously not a problem with this article, but sometimes I’ll miss video content as the article’s header is vague.

In regards to news: Pre-order bonuses are scummy… Retailer exclusive pre-order bonuses are worse than Hitler.

@3 True. I wish pre-order bonuses would go away. Read that the LA Noire pre-order bonuses will be released for purchase on XBLA/PSN however, so we’ll at least be able to get them if we so desire.

Dunno know, but somewhere I read that it might be free DLC coming later? But that’s probably just wishful thinking.

I can’t imagine it would be anything substantial. For extra missions they’d have to bring all the actors back in for extra mo-cap, which would be very expensive.

Considering that, I doubt they’ll be much DLC at all for L.A. Noire.

i’m so glad Team Bondi are making this game, it looks like it would be heavy story driven like Mafia 2.

GTA4 is garbage! 80% you are driving all the time! The game should be called Race and Chase not GTA!

i just hope Team Bondi doesn’t use the gameplay sandbox from GTA4, but focuses on Mafia 2 style.

@2 We do sometimes – depends on how much content we put into the article itself. Three lines? A video header.
