Full Fable III PC specs confirmed
IGN‘s posted up the full required and recommended specs for the PC version of Fable III. By the looks of it, it seems like the Lionhead RPG shouldn’t be too hard to run on a decent rig. Get the lot below.
Fable III releases on PC on May 17 in the US and May 20 for Games for Windows.
Recommended:
- Operating System: XP 32 SP3, Vista 32/64 , Win 7 32/64
- CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz or AMD Athlon X2 4000+
- Memory: 2GB
- Hard Drive Space: 12 GB of free space
- Graphics Hardware: NVidia 7600GT or ATI HD 2600 Pro
- DirectX: 9.0c onward
- Network: Internet or LAN connection required for multiplayer
Required:
- Operating System: Win 7
- CPU: Intel Pentium 2.9Ghz Core 2 Duo or higher
- Memory: 4GB
- Hard Drive Space: 12 GB of free space
- Graphics Hardware: Nvidia 260GTX 896MB or ATI 5770 1GB or higher
- DirectX: 9.0c onward
- Network: Internet or LAN connection required for multiplayer

Wow! Those recommended specs I actually quite high, especially for a game that looks like Fable 3. No offense to Fable fans out-there, but let’s be fair…graphically, Fable is below average.
I will be expecting more than a port with those specs Lionhead.

now the required specs are higher than the recommended specs…. I’m confused as to how that got messed on what’s basically a copy/paste from IGN.

Those recommended specs are for full HD or for 3D i guess or both

The titles “Recommended” and “Required” are the wrong way around, surely. I don’t for a minute see why they would “Recommend” less RAM and by the looks of it, less powerful graphics cards?

I agree with Red here. 5770 > 2600. 4GB > 2GB. Required and Recommended are switched around.
