Report: Steambot Chronicles 2 canceled

According to Famitsu's release calendar, it looks as though Steambot Chronicles has been canceled.
Shown at TGS way back in 2006 on PS3, news on Irem’s sequel to Steambot Chronicles has been next to nothing since. The last game in the series released was Steambot Chronicles: Battle Tournament, which saw a release in 2009 via PSP disc and through PSN.
Irem has yet to confirm the news, and while it hasn't been updates in ages, the official site for the game is still up.
