Former Visceral staffer to lead new Crystal Dynamics team

Tuesday, 29th March 2011 22:24 GMT By Brenna Hillier

Producer Scot Amos has joined Crystal Dynamics. From Isaac Clarke to Lara Croft? Not quite – it looks like the Tomb Raider developer wants fresh blood for new IP.

Gamasutra reports Amos will put together a second core team within Crystal Dynamics to focus on its latest, unrevealed project – the first team are busy with the Tomb Raider revamp, of course.

Amos most recently held a position as executive producer to the EA-owned Visceral Games. Visceral’s most notable recent works include Dead Space and Dante’s Inferno.

Prior to that, the producer worked with Maxis on The Sims series.

Both Visceral and Crystal Dynamics are based in Redwood, California. Not far to walk with your box of desk detritus, then.

Tomb Raider is all about platforming….isn’t it time to add new features gameplays to the series or new genre?:/
rather than making the same sh* all the time.

@1: What makes you think the new TR doesn’t have new features?

New IP? That’s okay, but I would prefer to see another Legacy of Kain game at some point, just saying.
