CESA: Tokyo Game Show won't be canceled, but could be downsized

Tokyo Game Show organiser CESA has said it has no intention of cancelling this year's event, but has admitted it could be downsized.

The news follows the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan nearly three weeks ago. Despite recent events, CESA intends to carry out this year's show as planned.

"Currently, we are not thinking of canceling or making the show smaller," organisers told Kotaku Japan.

"That doesn't mean plans won't change in the future, though."

CESA added: "Depending on the situation from here on out, it is possible that the show is reduced."

TGS takes place between September 15-18 at the Makuhari Messe.
