The Game is horrible on Consoles. the PS3 Version looks like crap and the controls are so delayed its impossible to control the character.

To be honest, i’m sure i played games on my PS3 that look better on consoles then Crysis 2. I’m just not sure that this game lives up to the hype at least there. I can’t judge the game yet, but after playing absolutely horrible (for a console standard) demo, it’s just… meh…

But Pc version looks OK to be honest. Dumbed down console port, but what can you expect anyway…

Interested to see how the single-player fares. The multiplayer demo didn’t really do anything for me.

Multiplayer was a bit Call Of Duty with nano suit which is a dissapointment, but what can you expect? It’s a game for console audience. Call Of duty is the king of multiplayer game (sales) on consoles.

anti aliasing and high res textures don’t make a game good. This looks fun to play, shame I missed out on the Beta, but it will be the single player that makes me buy a copy. Got my eye on this one!

The music is absolutely horrible, but the game looks like fun, I am glad that I pre-ordered it.

I don’t get it why they use this music for it when you have Hans Zimmer on the soundtrack.

what the fuck is going on, is the PS3 version better now?
i orderd it for xbox only for the better graphics but i prefer to play on PS3. there were some very significant framerate issues on the PS3 demo, is this not a problem on the retail version now?

I am loving it. I picked it up a midnight at Walmart for the 360, and they had a ton of them.

I am really enjoying it, the controls are fine, I turned the music off. For a 360 game it looks really great, yes it won’t measure up to PC’s, but it looks great. Lots of detail in the environment, fire sparks blowing in the wind, bugs flying..very active environment. For the 360, this is really a gorgeous game. I guess if your a PC gamer, then you will think it is ugly, but if your like me, who can only afford to console game, then this is a really good looking 360 game. A Good bar for other games to be set to.

The Environment is HIGHLY interactive, you can pick up and throw about everything.

I am just at the beginning, so I have nothing about story line, I did get irritated at the music and turned it off, but I just really don’t like Music in FPS’s. Too many times the music is a dead give away with what is about to happen, and turning it off makes FPS’s much more interesting and startling.

No regret buying it at all as of yet.

Yeah 360 version. I had read the PS3 demo had been turned off already but assumed the 360 version would be fine.

@18 Aside from Crytek’s confirmation that the demo was an older build there are recordings of the leaked retail version all over youtube.
SP campaign and MP maps,they’re nowhere near the demo.much better textures and performance

@20 actually between consoles neither is the definite version.each has it’s own stregths and weaknesses than the other.
360 has slightly better native analysis,slightly smoother textures up close(more detailed)less fps drops
ps3 has slightly better lightning effects (few of them missing on the 360),slightly better draw distance(translates to smoother textures at distance,more detailed and less pop ins)

Why do FPS launch trailers always have to use such shite music?

This could have been a great ad. But it was ruined by lack of taste. They could have used a song from the soundtrack. Set the tone for the game.

But this. This ruined it all. We saw the same shit being done with the MW2 and Black Ops Ads. Before that, there was not a single indicator of why Hip-Hop would fit into it.

How does Hip-Hop fit into rescuing human kind in a State-Of-The-Art Suit?

All this song says is: Stuff blows up.

Say what you want about Gears of War, but they know how to sell their games through their ads.

I don’t get why SP graphics always look better than MP, Crysis on PC look awesome on SP but MP to me looked no different to BF2 and the cryengine was dubbed down on MP (probably to lower lag issues)

That trailer alone has got me more interested than any of the others so far.

Will READ the reviews though as I’m fed up to the back teeth with FPS shooters (but can’t stop buying them).

Loved the trailer and i thought the music worked well. Got me pretty pumped.

The lens of truth site is giving me a hard time, it’s not working now. In what ways is the PS3 version better now? All my friends will be buying it for their 360 anyway for the MP, so i will too. Not expecting crazy big differences anyway.

I’m playing it right now. Enjoying so far, but visuals are not so great compared to the first game. Everything is on max with the latest settings and of course direct X 11 tesselation and fog. Everything is running at 51-60 fps. I’m playing without 3D for now.

Everything else is like Crysis 1. This time it’s more variety, same interaction. Better story (at last for F sake.), AI is awesome. Level design is a bit shitty this time. Running and gunning from enemies is just too easy.

But also there are things that i don’t like. For example they completely destroyed sandbox levels. It’s a shame really, but thats because of console ram. You can’t make it on consoles because of shitty draw distance, but i can deal with it.
Aliens are more interactive this time. Too much freakin blur effect to be honest for no reason at all.

But i like it. Enjoying singleplayer so far, but i’m not so sure if i will enjoy the multiplayer.

anyhow the differences are minuscule and both have their own advantages and disadvantages over the other.go with your console of preference

Just got my copy for PS3 and I will post a mini review on every aspect of the game. I will try and finish the campaign today and may drop a line around the time I hit the mid point of the game. Also I will put both my sony 40″ Xbr5s side by side and do a graphical test between this and KZ3.
