Crysis 2 story bridged by prequel comic mini-series

IDW will publish a prequel comic for Crysis 2, spanning the previously undisclosed plot events between the two games.

Big Download reports the comic will run for six monthly issues beginning in June, although the game itself releases in March.

Crysis 2 scriptwriter Richard Morgan is behind the story, while fellow Swede Peter Bergting will contribute the art. The latter’s previous credits include Strange Girl, Salvador and IDW’s Dark Sun.

Dungeon Siege III and The Darkness 2 are also due for tie-in comics in a growing cross-media marketing trend.

The Crysis comics continue EA’s collaboration with IDW, who also produced the Dragon Age mini-series.

That cover is terrible. And seeing as the cover tends to be the best looking part of a comic, i dare imagine what the rest of it looks like.

I’m so fed up with this Comic-Hype Bullshit.

If you Developer/Publisher can’t get a decent artist for your comic: Don’t do it.

It’s funny because people buy a lot of manga crap and their gfx are much crapier than this.
