UK retail sees second consecutive YoY loss in 2011

MCV's reporting that boxed copy British games retail suffered a 23 percent YoY decrease in February, marking a second straight month of declines.

The report claims that 3.2 million games were sold at retail last month, with revenue coming in at £72.6 million, down 22.1 percent YoY from February 2010.

In terms of platform ratio, 360 ruled the roost, accounting for 29 percent of games sold last month. PS3 followed in second and Wii in third. EA was the biggest publisher in unit value, followed by Ubisoft and Nintendo.

The biggest selling game for last month was Black Ops, followed by Dead Space 2 and FIFA 11.
