3DS still off to a good start

While sales of 3DS were a lower this week than during launch, it still sold rather well.

The 3DS launched in Japan on February 26, giving it one day sales of 374,764 and a full week later it sold 209,623 units. Whether the drop in sales had anything to do with the reported sell-outs at some retailers was not noted, but new shipments were promised last week. Older models of DS sales were up over all, so the release of 3DS did well for the entire line.

Combined total for the entire DS line, including 3DS, came in at 226,719 units.

PSP moved 76,246 units for the week, up considerably over last week thanks to the release of Dissidia 012. PSP go moved an additional four units over the week prior, and PS3 moved a little over 2,000 more than the last reporting period.

Will and Xbox 360 sales were a bit flat, give or take around a thousand or so less than last week.

    To be honest. Sales of 3DS are not impressive, until new Pokemon will arrive :D

    Impressive but in a negative way, if this situation continues in 2 or 3 weeks 3ds’ sales will fall to less than 100k

    @3:
    a new console that in the second week of it’s life sells 170k less(close to -50%) than the first week… yes i think it’s clearly negative.
    Obviously with mario, zelda etc 3ds will sell a lot, but now the trend isn’t good.
