NBA Jam won't get roster updates, says EA Sports

EA Sports has said that NBA Jam for PS3 and 360 won't get additional roster updates.

This is a "quality" decision, apparently.

"Our priority for JAM on the Xbox 360 and PS3 was to deliver HD graphics and online play to round out the great gameplay that defines the franchise," EA said in a statement sent to Pasta Padre (via Kotaku).

"For us to also include roster and title update possibilities, we would have sacrificed quality in those key areas and thus made the difficult decision not to include them."

NBA Jam released last year at retail for PS3, 360 and Wii, having previously been an exclusive for the latter. A downloadable version was planned for PS3 and 360 alongside the release of NBA Elite 11 until it was canned last year.
