Rumour – NGP releasing on November 11 in Europe
MCV‘s reporting that NGP is to release in Europe on November 11.
The handheld, formally announced at the end of January, has only been confirmed so far for a Japanese release this holiday, with a launch elsewhere unlikely according to SCEA boss Jack Tretton.
But the site reports that deadlines on development for games have now been set for before the end of the summer for a release this autumn.
If true, the release of PSP’s next-gen successor will seemingly be Sony’s first simultaneous games hardware launch worldwide.
It would also put it a week-and-a-half after the US launch of Sony’s big software bet for this year, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception for PS3.

This completely flies in the face of the company line, but I guess we’ll see.
I just don’t see it panning out however. A simultaneous worldwide launch would be a logistical clusterfuck nightmare.

Nah this is nonsense, and i won’t buy one right away anyway. As impressive at the thing is, i wonder if i really want to play PS3 games on a handheld, i rather turn on my plasma, my consoles and play.

on the other hand: The thing with the deadlines goes well with the yesterdays news that uk studios got revisited in terms of projects. Looks like they are now helping to achieve those deadlines?!

I so hope this is true, i don’t think Sony can afford to release the NGP in 2012 for Europe, it needs to take the fight to Ninentdo and kick its ass!!!
