DC Universe Online coming to PS Store, teases the Penguin for update 2.0

Sony’s confirmed that it’s to release DC Universe Online as a digital download on PSN.

No date yet, but it’ll be available for $59.99 with 30 days worth of gameplay time. Bundle packs will also be available: six-month subs will cost $77.99 and 12 month subs will set you back $134.99.

In other DCUO news, the MMO’s Update 2 will see players go up against The Penguin in an ongoing storyline. Two Face will also be involved.

More on Massively.

to tease

Sense 1:
tease, badger, pester, bug, beleaguer
torment, rag, bedevil, crucify, dun, frustrate

To tell the truth I prolly would have bought this game if it were avalible day and date as a Download. Instead I got sucked into Rift on the PC.

WHAT! SONY you jackasses I went out like the loyal PS gamer I am and bought this day one to support MMOs for the PS3 and now I get kicked in the gut with this announcement. Damn man I would rather have this as a digital game than on disc really. Its online only so having a disc seems pretty useless anyway when you have to be signed on PSN to even play the damn game.

This option should have been a day 1 choice. Next time I won’t support your sneaky asses day 1 when you release the Agency bitches.

@6 I’m choosing to ignore you because I know you’re just a bored troll trying to kick up shit. Why don’t you go in the corner and think of a new name you’d like to change to next week Mr I want to call others “unstable”….the nerve of trolls these days I tell you.

@7 Man, you really love to over think everything, don’t you? I can assure you, you put vastly more thought into my motivations than I could ever be bothered to.

I wouldn’t have cared *who* made that post. It still makes you sound like an spoilt, snobbish, greedy, obsessive compulsive nutjob with a grossly over exaggerated sense of entitlement…

…ooh wait!

You’re getting pissed off at a company for putting up a digital release of an MMORPG. That’s a bit like getting pissed off at Santa Claus for bringing other kids than you presents.

He does have a point though, regardless of his tone. There are plenty of people who would much prefer to purchase games via one medium over the other, and in this case early adopters are stuck with the disc.

People on the internet often type excitedly, I’m over it. We all do it sometimes. I’m with the point the guy makes.

I’m glad I wasn’t able to get this day one now.lol now sony!… don’t make the digital copy any more then 40 and you have a purchase. Heck make it between 20-30 and see the subs go up to! I would drop 80 right out if you do this.

Now, be a good boy and make it happen!

Just out of the curiosity, does having the disc stop you from having to install over 10GBs of data onto your hard drive?
