Tom Bramwell becomes Eurogamer operations director

Eurogamer’s announced this morning it’s promoted editor Tom Bramwell to a newly-created role inside the company as operations director.

Bramwell will now overlook the day-to-day running of EG, GamesIndustry.biz, kids mag Megaton and the technology department. He’ll still be editor-at-large for EG, though.

Managing director Rupert Loman will focus on the external happenings in the company, such as commercial development, new product development, partner websites and the recently acquired US business.

“As our longest standing employee, and one who has proven time and again to lead by example and rise to the challenge, we are delighted that Tom will be taking on this new role,” Loman said of the move.

“He has the respect of everyone within the company and will help drive things on as we continue to grow.”

Bramwell added: “Every day I’m inspired by the integrity, creativity and ambition of the people I work with, and I know together we can achieve the goals we’ve set ourselves for 2011 and then some. Eleven more years would suit me just fine.”

Congrats, Tom!

Editor-at-large… Are you trying to say he’s fat?

He only gave Shadow of the Colossus 8/10. We shall *never* forget. And this was even after Kristian had given it the correct 10/10 score on import. I wonder who’ll get to review the Team Ico collection…
